Winemaking

Let us teach you the fundamentals of winemaking! We are offering courses throughout the summer months! Winemaking courses are for students 21+.

Courses

Personal Winemaking

This course covers the basic production methods, wine chemistry, and microbiology necessary to produce wine in a home winemaking setting. You use our facility, equipment, and basic supplies. You will not cover making wine from fresh fruit, which may be offered in a later course.

Meet Our Instructors

Dan Strickland

Dan has been an amateur winemaker since 1973, and was a cofounder and head winemaker for New River Wineries, Inc., from 2005 to 2010, which was located where Molley Chomber Cidery is now in business. He also published a print magazine for small commercial wineries from 2006-2010, to pass on information he learned while running a commercial winery.
