Available Positions

Development and Communications Associate (PART-TIME)

Lost Province Center for Cultural Arts (LPCCA) is seeking a Communications and Development Associate to work, at a minimum, 10 hours per week. The candidate should have experience with or an interest in pursuing nonprofit development and/or communications.  Weekly commitment is relatively unstructured (e.g., you set hours) yet responsiveness is critical.  Quality writing and presentation are prerequisite and creativeness is a plus.


Responsibilities include:

  • Managing Lost Province Arts’ social media channels, including a Facebook page and Instagram account
  • Writing, editing, and designing monthly newsletter emails and other, periodic fundraising communications using MailChimp
  • Updating and providing relevant content for the Lost Province Arts website, hosted via GoDaddy
  • Collaborating with LPCCA’s Fundraising Strategist to craft cohesive messaging across all platforms
  • Supporting fundraising and development efforts, including but not limited to: editing thank you letters, monitoring emails, and more
  • Other duties, as requested by the Board of Directors


The Lost Province Center for Cultural Arts is a nonprofit organization that is working to create a cultural arts venue and showcase area in the historic Lansing School in Lansing, North Carolina to preserve and promote the cultural arts and skills of the Southern Appalachian region.
