Rita has been weaving on and off for over 45 years. Her husband bought her a loom as an engagement gift instead of a ring. She is a certified Master Weaver Level 1 and continues to learn and explore. She loves mixing colors in a painterly way and exploring all manner of looms from tree branches to rigid heddles to large floor looms. Rita says, “Teaching a subject I love is pure joy for me.”
Liz Washburn is an avid knitter, who loves to share her passion with others. A Craft Yarn Council certified instructor, she has taught at local yarn shops, schools, and churches. Liz is a knitwear designer, with numerous published patterns, many of which incorporate stranded color-work and lace techniques.
Karla Strachan has 15 years quilting experience and 12 years as a professional quilter, long arm quilter, and quilting teacher. She also owns "1 Fun Day Quilting." She's excited to share her knowledge of basic quilting, applique by hand or machine, advanced quilting, wool on cotton, and master quilting with scraps. Come and learn this historic art and craft with her.
