Melissa Church
Melissa has over 25 years of sales, operations, and strategy development experience across multiple industries including clinical research, health care consulting and technology, and health insurance. Her most recent experience includes 9 years with UnitedHealth Group where she held both sales operations/strategy and operational executive leadership roles before joining Catalyst Clinical Research in 2020 as Senior Vice President where she leads Corporate Strategy, Business Development, and Marketing and Communications. Melissa recently moved back to Ashe County after being away for over 30 years. She is passionate about the traditional arts, crafts and music of the Appalachian region and is thrilled to be involved with LPCAA. Melissa’s previous board experience includes UNC-Asheville alumni boards, American Red Cross, and Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear. Melissa and her husband Patrick enjoy hiking, kayaking, and visiting local breweries to try out their craft beers. They also spend time traveling and hanging out with their three grown children Savanna, Grace, and Ian.
