Carole Ford is an account manager for a large Pittsburgh, PA based company, managing
relationships with Fortune Global 500 manufacturers. She attended Ivy School of Professional Art and Allegheny Community College, both in the Pittsburgh, PA area and focused her studies on Fine Arts and Psychology. After spending many years in the Charlotte-Davidson area raising a family, she relocated to Ashe County. She is passionate about fine arts, gardening, wildlife conservation and her Appalachia community. She contributed early to the revitalization efforts in Lansing, NC when she opened a restaurant, gaining historic status for the town, and which is still a thriving business. Additionally, she participated in creating the scenic byway that now passes through the town and northwestern Ashe County. Ford resides on her farm and offers farm-stay getaways and hosts events at a handcrafted venue on this remote Appalachian mountaintop, part of which is in a NC Wildlife Conservation easement and Audubon Forest Landbird Legacy Program.
